Ingredients
  1. 7 c flour, sifted
  2. 2 t salt
  3. 1⁄2 c sugar
  4. 2 pk yeast
  5. 2 c warm water
  6. 1 egg
  7. 1⁄2 c shortening, melted
Instructions
  1. Put water in large mixing bowl, sprinkle yeast on top of water. Let dissolve.
  2. Add sugar, salt, and half of flour. Beat well 2 minutes.
  3. Add egg and shortening and remaining flour.
  4. Cover with damp cloth, put in refrigerator. Will keep a week.
  5. If you want to use right away, make out rolls or loafs and let rise until double in bulk.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.
