Ingredients
  1. 3⁄4 c sugar
  2. 1 T sweet spice blend
  3. 3⁄4 t salt
  4. 1 egg white
  5. 1 T water
  6. 1 lb pecan halves
Instructions
  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl; set aside.
  2. Beat egg white and 1 tbsp water in a medium bowl using a handheld egg beater or a wire whisk until foamy. (no liquid should remain).
  3. Add pecans, stirring until evenly coated. Add pecans to sugar mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
  4. Place pecans in a single layer on a buttered 15 x 10 inch jelly-roll pan.
  5. Bake at 275° for 50 to 55 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Spread immediately in a single layer on wax paper; cool completely.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
  1. Can also substitute almonds or walnut halves.
